- Jerde Partnership International
This article about the Fremont Street Experience is from 1995, but has some fantastic pictures that really capture the essence of magnifigance the nightly light and sound shows exude. This project literally reversed the ten year decline of the downtown strip. There is nothing comparable to the 2.1 million lights and the 540,000-watt sound system.

- Las Vegas Style
This writer at Las Vegas Style takes a not so favorable look at The Fremont Street Experience. The claim here is that most of the downtown hotels and casinos have lost their individuality by becoming part of the Fremont Street Experience. Only a few downtown properties have escaped, namely the El Cortez and Lady Luck. Instead of everyone advertising as a group under the Fremont Street Experience, more individual advertising is needed. Even then, that won't be enough to compete with the Strip.

- Sightseeing
Before it was the Fremont Street Experience, the area between Las Vegas Boulevard and Main Street was referred to as the "Glitter Gulch". However, as more casinos opened on the Strip, the downtown casinos on Fremont began to lose business. Thus began the $70 million dollar project known as The Fremont Street Experience. Several times throughout the night on the hour, all of the casinos on Fremont Street turn off their outdoor neon lights to showcase the overhead light and sound shows. It is a must see if you are planning a trip to Vegas.

- Steel Tube Institute
The Steel Tube Institute focuses on the architecture of the four block long space frame covering Fremont Street. The frame was designed by The Jerde Partnership International of Venice, California and is made completely out of steel Hollow Structural Sections (HSS). The 800 feet of steel tubing is 1400 feet long, 100 feet across, and 90 feet high. In the daytime it screens out approximately 60% of the desert sun, and at night serves as the stage for the world's largest computer light show with 2.1 million lights and a 540,000 watt sound system.
